Hello Parents and Visitors,

 

Students are able to check out two books at a time from our wide selection of fiction and nonfiction titles. Teachers are also able to select books to borrow or adopt into their classrooms.

 

Thanks to a generous grant from Access Books at the start of the 2019-2020 school year, we were able to add over 1,000 new copies of books to our school library collection! I am also very grateful to all the parent and family volunteers who spent their weekend helping to catalog these books and paint the interior and exterior with new murals.

 

Another donation from the Access Books grant was a set of furniture. Students have flexible seating and can read on a couch or lie down on a small rug. Students are free to check out any book available at the library but are also encouraged and taught open-mindedness and strategic selection of books that engage their interests or challenge them.

 

 

 

Hola Padres y visitantes,

 

Visito la escuela dos a tres veces a la semana y cada clase tiene una visita semanal. Los estudiantes pueden pedir prestado dos libros a la vez de nuestra amplia selección de títulos de ficción y nonficción. Los maestros también pueden seleccionar libros para pedir prestados o adoptar en sus aulas.

 

¡Gracias a una generosa donación de Access Books al comienzo del año escolar 2019-2020, pudimos agregar más de 1,000 nuevas copias de libros a nuestra colección! También quiero expresar mi agradecimiento a todos los padres y familiares voluntarios que pasaron su fin de semana ayudando a catalogar estos libros y pintar el interior y el exterior con nuevos murales.

 

Los estudiantes tienen asientos flexibles y pueden leer en un sofá o acostarse en una alfombra pequeña, dos más donaciones departe de Access Books. Los estudiantes tienen derecho a cualquier libro disponible en la biblioteca, pero también se les ensañamos como tener una mentalidad abierta y una selección estratégica de libros adecuados.
